Yes on Tue, 03 May 2016
SnookerjulianWell I went to the Yes gig last night in Sheffield, with some trepidation I might add as it's my first without Anderson and Squire and first with Downes (I had seen them a few times with Wakeman and a different keys player whose surname I forget, first name Igor if memory serves)
I've never been one for insisting on the original personnel, it's more about how the music makes me feel in the moment and it's execution.
I was ready to be critical but to be honest it exceeded expectation, Davison is a fine vocalist though in contrast he makes Anderson sound masculine. Billy Sherwood, who from a distance now resembles Chris Squire, isn't quite the vocalist Squire was and the presence of his bass on the more ornate parts were lacking but his interpretations of the main functional parts were fine. There were a few shaky bits (We Have Heaven, Five percent for Nothing ) Highlights:- (Machine Massiah, Heart of the Sunrise)
I'm just being critical, apart from these few points a great gig and a faithful reproduction of the tracks. Julian Vidal

Simple Minds on Sun, 12 Apr 2015
Simple Minds fan memorieI bought 2 tickets to the Sheffield city hall concert for my husband's birthday, I knew he liked your music, but myself hadn't heard your music as I'm more of a disco/Motown music fan, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed your concert, will definitely be coming to watch again!!!

John Denver on Thu, 17 Mar 1994
John Denver fan memorieSeeing John Denver in Sheffield 1994 was one of the best nights I have ever had. Just sat listening to him tonight and reminiscing of that perfect night. He was absolutely fantastic. I can’t believe only three years later he died. God rest his soul ❤️
Tears for Fears on Fri, 15 Apr 1983
casper jarrotThis was my first ever gig aged 13. I spent most of the gig pressed up against a girl (who was pressed up against the stage) with my hands up the front of her shirt. Roland Orzabal got tangled in his guitar wire and fall flat on his face. Great gig.
Faust on Tue, 08 Oct 1974
Faust fan reviewFrom my father- the concert included, the band using a pneumatic drill and a block of concrete. The concert was stopped and the base player Jean- Herve Peron carried on and he said ' This always happens'.
Then the band played on after a bit.
