One of the first gigs I ever went to aged 17 - travelled by train from Norwich. Mama's boys were a good support (though maybe not the right fit for Hawkwind's space rock). What I remember most is the hypnotic projected backdrop - never experienced anything quite like it 👍👍👍
Windsor, Peoples Free Festival 1973 in London, UK on Sat, 25 Aug 1973
I was there 50 years ago. The Hawkwind set was magnificent gig interspersed with poetry readings by Robert Calvert and Michael Moorcock. Amazingly the set was recorded and can be listened to on-line.
