Deep Purple concert reviews and tour history

I was 13 years old my very firstgig and they blow my mind remember after the gig went back to their dressing room to meet them and get their autographs except Richie blackmores who wouldn't see us a gig ill never forget

Great concert!:) Despite the fact it rained like hell it was fantastic. The location 5 ören is a magic place for festivals. And as always Denmark is great to attend concerts. Deep Purple played great and the sound was amazing. Sad to say, Jon Lord wasn't playing this concert. The one just before he injured his knee, so in last minute Don Airey substitute. Must say, Don played great. Loved this gig, great memory from it. And also, some time after this I got a VHS copy of the entire concert!:) God bless

I was 18 and can remember the sound of the bass vibrating through the sprung floor, formerly the regent ballroom.
Unfortunately as it was so hot and loud I missed the end of the show as I passed out . I remember wearing white trousers, a purple tye dyetop a purple suede fringed waistcoat and a purple fringed belt....those were the days fab

I was 16 , I was standing in line waiting for pizza when I heard and FELT the roar of thousands of people descending down from the upper floors. I hauled ass back to my seat to ask my date if she wanted to go down on the floor, she said no so I hauled ass again. I hopped from seatback to seatback because the isles were full. When I got to the floor I hopped over the short wall and made my way hru the crowd to the left side of the stage. I partied for a bit with some folks who had a huge joint rolled with the Big Bamboo paper, but it disappeared into the crowd so I climbed up into the scaffolding holdiing up the speakers. Man I remember my head was pounding but the thrill was intense. Some guy kept at me to come down and I finally did, he let me stand right there next to the keyboard, I was on stage when the streaker ran across. I finally had to get down but it was a show to remember.... dig it,, rock on Houston Astorodome!! , a kid from LaPorte

I was there. I was just 9. My Sister and her then Boyfriend took me. I remember some of the Concert, but I do remember all the smoke which was weed. I remember Cop's in the old uniforms with belly club s and trying to arrest some hippies for I guess smoking weed. The crowd yelling let them go and they eventually had to. I remember them playing Smoke on the Water and the fog on the stage and the naked girls running on stage. I'll always remember that Concert.

I was there, first time too try Marijuana cookies n everybody’sl charge the stage went Deep Purple came out!

I was there. Third row as I had backstage pass. Originally only seating was in the stands. When they came on stage after Geils band they called fans down. Mushrooms kicked in soon after. What a concert.

I was there my first concert my brother took me there to celebrate his birthday

Wir sassen damals noch auf Sitzplätzen vor der Bühne wie im Theater. Ich war 17 und hatte einen guten Platz in der 3. Reihe Mitte und es war mein 1. Besuch eines Rock Konzertes. Ich habe danach noch sehr viele gute Rockkonzerte bekannter Bands besucht, doch dieses war und ist für mich unvergesslich. Diese Atmosphäre habe ich später nicht mehr erlebt.

It was my first big concert, I was so excited to attend, after 49 years I still remember it as it was today.
