Not a big fan of the new album, glad that it was abbreviated. The Tull portion was excellent and hearing "Teacher" a real treat. Bonus points for playing in sync to old videos up on the screen behind them! I realize how hard that is to do and they pulled it off flawlessly.

Ian and his gang at the Lincoln in DC on the 6th. First off the theater, while nice, has a very shallow balcony. Difficult to see. Dont go there for a play! Ian played about 35 minutes of Homo Erraticus. No, it is not amazing stuff, but it is Ian. I'd call it Renaissance Jazz. He is 67. Cut him some slack for still writing and creating. He finished the first set with a 15 minute version of TAAB. 2nd set was not his greatest hits but had some of his best songs, Sweet Dreams and Teacher. Good versions of Living in the Past and Too Old to Rock and Roll. Finished with a good Aqualung and encored with Locomotive Breath. He aint what he used to be, but when I go I transport myself back to 1973 and we are all Living in the Past together. I enjoyed him last year at the Birchmere much better. Wonderful set list and great to see him up close. Thats the venues he should play, but I am sure he and the gang want to make money, hence the larger venues. And, anyone who says he has no energy is nuts. He prances and hops around like he is 20, or at least 40. Still gets up on one leg! Go see this living legend then listen to his stuff on CD.

Dittoe deliver a few songs to the above. Was wishing that they had played Homo Erraticus in its entirety, but the surprising inclusion of "With You There to Help Me" and "Teacher" in the 2nd half more than satisfied me. The young singer (and often foil) is a great addition, great stage presence, and the occasional alternating on vocals with Ian was very well done. Suggest he deliver a few songs by himself--and turn up his mic.

Awesome show and it was great to hear the unexpected "Farm on the Freeway" in addition to the 60s/70s and early 80s material and the new album. There's something special about some of the more haunting sounds of the Crest of a Knave and Rock Island material that stands out from the rest.

An October evening with Ian Anderson is not to be missed. The show was a special treat, with Ian and the band playing a good portion of a new album, Homo Erraticus. Then, the best of Jethro Tull, with fan favorites Brick and Aqualing, and a few dives into the catalogue (nice to hear a bit of Passion Play). A little showmanship, a few mild jabs at growing older, and Songs from the Wood. Great evening!

It is amazing to see Ian Anderson still spry at 67! Glad to see Ian giving his voice an occasional "rest" with Ryan, a great stand-in. Sometimes, Ian just couldn't quite do what he did in his youthful vocals, but it was still awesome. Ian's flute and one-legged stand was great as usual. Enjoyed the background video... The band was spot on. Florian was a dead-ringer for Martin Barre, yet did some amazing solo work. David Goodier and John O'Hara were also great. Scott Hammond was a beast on drums. I've been going to Tull concerts since 1977, and this concert did not disappoint. Highly recommended!

his past shows were amazing but will rate this one down a bit, The theater screen was hard to follow and a bit boring, couldn't understand hardly any words to the newer songs and they all seemed to be the same song? what was with all the coins ? past shows were so much better that my expatiations were high I suppose , the second half was much better with Ian playing the older songs, wish he would have stuck more with that theme of being the "best of" thank you for the show Ian
