I was 15 years old dating a 20 year old when he took me to see this show. It was wonderful! Bruce and the band played and played and played (and played some more)!! Thank you Bill and Bruce for a memory that I will never forget.

The best live concert I have been to. I’ve seen the Stones in Lynn, MA(1966) also Boston Garden the night they got arrested in RI. I’m 73 but have been fortunate to attend many concerts. Before Bruce blew me away that Saturday night in 74, I thought the best live concert I ever saw was actually Jethro Tull at Boston Garden just after they released “Thick as a Brick” was released.
But nothing compared to the show that Bruce and the E Street Band put on that night. His music was played on WBCN in Boston so I had heard a few of his songs but really wasn’t familiar with him. They had posters up at the school and I felt I couldn’t go wrong for 3 bucks. There was something special when they hit their first note. You could feel the excitement from the get go. The venue was an auditorium with theater type seating. Withi a few songs people were standing on the arm rests and were mesmerized by the most unique rock and roll I had ever heard. I was telling everyone I knew about this band no one ever heard of. By June of 1975 he was on the cover of Time and Newsweek and everyone knew who they were. Still the best live act that I have ever witnessed and I saw him four more times after that. Everyone has their own taste but I am so thankful I had opportunity to see Bruce 49 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday.

Ottawa Civic Centre in Ottawa, Canada on Sat, 24 Jan 1981
What? No reviews yet? My buddies and I were there . Over forty years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. We were lucky to get tickets. They were only available by mail and one of us stood in line at the main Ottawa post office to drop in our requests and money orders at midnight of opening sales day. Only four tickets per order. We got a ride to Ottawa and it was cold as hell that night. The Civic Center was packed, sold out. Our seats were so high up in the nose bleeds, I could touch the ceiling. Bruce was a bit late, but when they hit the stage, Wow! I could feel the concrete bouncing under our seats under the weight of everyone jumping up and down . I thought the building was going to collapse during Cadillac Ranch. It was a long show, the set list is available on line. I ran into a fella a few weeks later who waited outside the stage door and Bruce came out and signed his copy of Darkness. Too cold for me. I keep in touch with my high school buddies . Everyone's life gets a few highlights. We all agree that was one of ours.
West Chester College in West Chester, US on Fri, 22 Nov 1974
I was a freshman at West Chester at the time and had never heard of Bruce. Some guys in my dorm were big fans and since I was dating a girl from the school paper and we had GREAT front row standing seats, I went. WOW, even today, and I am 66 now and have been to many many concerts since then, it STILL remains my second favorite concert ever, bestest only by THE WHO at the Spectrum. I will never forget that concert. IT WAS TRULY AMAZING!!!!!!

This was the second and sad to say last time I saw Springsteen. It was the best concert I've ever been to. I think MTV was filming his first video Rosalita there. If I remember right Darkness on the Edge of Town had just come out. I about wore that album out. I was going to see him a third time, but he got so popular after that you had to wait in line overnight to get tickets. I am just not willing to do that for any concert.

This was the first of two times I saw Springsteen. He is the best performer live that I've ever seen.
