Pink Floyd on Mon, 18 Apr 1988
Pink Floyd fan memorieLight show was absolutely incredible. Pink Floyd recorded an incoming jet over the venue earlier in the day and replayed it during the show. The audience looked up to see the jet only to see nothing, but to be tricked by PF. 10/10 concert experience.
Eagles on Sun, 08 Aug 1976
Eagles fan memorieI remember that all day/night concert well! I love the Eagles and Linda Rondstadt and PPL was a bonus. I laid in the outfield grass all day and partied like a rock star.
Eagles fan reviewOne of the best I've ever seen, w Linda, full moon and buttons for the Eagles, 100 outta 100
Linda Ronstadt on Sun, 08 Aug 1976
Linda Ronstadt fan memorieLinda performed between Pure Prairie League and The Eagles, on their first tour with new member Joe Walsh. Linda was fantastic. She played her hits and kept admonishing the crowd to stop shooting her with water guns. Really great show for all three bands.
The Beach Boys on Sun, 18 Jul 1976
The Beach Boys fan memorieMile High, Denver Colorado July 18, 1976.
I was there. I remember Fleetwood Mac seemed to be splintered into two factions. One being the original members (including Christine) and the other, Buckingham/ Nicks. Stevie Nicks was running around like crazy, knocking over microphone stands and I remember Christine giving her if looks could kill eyeball daggers. The rythm section was very tight. Anyway the Wesh witch routine must have worked because a rain storm was conjured and the crowd was soaked between acts. Right before the Beach Boys' first song a patch of blue appeared over center stage. One of the band members, I think it was Carl remarked " We'd like to thank God for our introduction." The band went on to perform one of the best shows I've ever seen. Extremely tight, dead on pitch, vocal harmonies. Dennis was (a little?) out of it and made some indestinguishable comments between songs. When the time came for Good Vibrations however, he played the drum part perfectly. (Take that Hal Blaine).
I remember the last tune was "Fun,Fun, Fun," and it was.
Picture 80,000 plus, walking out of Mile High , everyone singing a diferent haromy part. That's a very good musical memory. RIP Deniis.
The Beach Boys fan reviewThe concert was awesome! and the party favors were great too. Loved every minute of it. Stevie Nicks and The Beach Boys were the highlights.
The Beach Boys fan reviewThe best concert there evet was.
The Beach Boys fan memorieThis is one for the books. Two girlfriends and I were guests of Irving Azoff, and drove from Aspen to this show in Denver. We were backstage and On stage the entire time. Fleetwood and Santana were simply amazing and The Beach Boys were their usual 'calling it in' mode. Mike Love stuffed his pants with a couple of tube socks so the girls on the back row would think he really is that big. Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey Buckingham were incredible. Carlos Santana was magical.
The Beach Boys fan memorieI was there. Slept over and was 4 sleeping bags from the stage. I remember Carlos being incredible. I also remember the skies got dark and threatening when Fleetwood Mac was playing but it did not rain and when the Beach Boys hit the stage the sun broke through. It was as if the weather was choreographed. Great day and an awesome concert.
Fleetwood Mac on Sun, 18 Jul 1976
Fleetwood Mac fan memorieI was there. This was my third concert ever. I sat way back in the bleechers and it was rather chaotic. It was an all-day event with Santana and The Beach Boys in the line up. Tickets were cheap, like $ 5 or $ 6. Quite an event....
Ben WolfI was there, too ! In the bleachers. It was a long day, hot but the music was great. 45 years ago... Lord have mercy. Santana was awesome.
