I was there. Slept over and was 4 sleeping bags from the stage. I remember Carlos being incredible. I also remember the skies got dark and threatening when Fleetwood Mac was playing but it did not rain and when the Beach Boys hit the stage the sun broke through. It was as if the weather was choreographed. Great day and an awesome concert.

This is one for the books. Two girlfriends and I were guests of Irving Azoff, and drove from Aspen to this show in Denver. We were backstage and On stage the entire time. Fleetwood and Santana were simply amazing and The Beach Boys were their usual 'calling it in' mode. Mike Love stuffed his pants with a couple of tube socks so the girls on the back row would think he really is that big. Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey Buckingham were incredible. Carlos Santana was magical.

The concert was awesome! and the party favors were great too. Loved every minute of it. Stevie Nicks and The Beach Boys were the highlights.

Mile High, Denver Colorado July 18, 1976.
I was there. I remember Fleetwood Mac seemed to be splintered into two factions. One being the original members (including Christine) and the other, Buckingham/ Nicks. Stevie Nicks was running around like crazy, knocking over microphone stands and I remember Christine giving her if looks could kill eyeball daggers. The rythm section was very tight. Anyway the Wesh witch routine must have worked because a rain storm was conjured and the crowd was soaked between acts. Right before the Beach Boys' first song a patch of blue appeared over center stage. One of the band members, I think it was Carl remarked " We'd like to thank God for our introduction." The band went on to perform one of the best shows I've ever seen. Extremely tight, dead on pitch, vocal harmonies. Dennis was (a little?) out of it and made some indestinguishable comments between songs. When the time came for Good Vibrations however, he played the drum part perfectly. (Take that Hal Blaine).
I remember the last tune was "Fun,Fun, Fun," and it was.
Picture 80,000 plus, walking out of Mile High , everyone singing a diferent haromy part. That's a very good musical memory. RIP Deniis.
