I was so excited to attend this concert. I purchased the tickets for Mother’s Day. The concert was postponed until August 31st. I think I would have said he was my favorite artist. My husband, 25 year old daughter and 72 year old friend (who named her dogs Mystic and Tupelo Honey) came with me. Van’s daughter went on first. I think she is good but the sound was off causing her to sound pitchy. She sang one of her fathers songs and ended with Love that Dirty Water (a Boston favorite). Van is an amazing musician and his band is fabulous. He played many new songs and covers with a New Orleans flair. They were good but began to all sound the same. I get that he had many hits from long ago and is probably tired of playing them. We understood that but we’re patient until the very end, even hopeful after the encore of Worried Man. He left his band on stage and the two back up singers sang wonderful renditions of the song. I’ve never heard Worried Man, have no idea if it’s Van’s song or another artists’s. Baffled, saddened and angry we began to leave as the lights came on. He did not play a single song we knew and loved. We looked forward to this concert for months. It costs us over $700 dollars to not hear a single song that brought us to the show. We met a devasted couple in the hall who had driven 14 hours from Indiana. I went to the ladies room where everyone was in shock. Van Morrison should be ashamed of himself and owes everyone who attended his 8/31/23 concert at the Shubert another performance.

I was at this concert. Just great. Ronnie Montrose played guitar in Van's band.

As a huge Van fan, I recall the concert very well. Although Mr. Morrison was over an hour late, it was an awesome of should I say of what I saw. I was kicked out for either taking pictures or repeatedly yelling at Van to play Gloria. Before security came to my seat, I put my camera in the girls holter top beside me. I was able to get back into Kingswood by scaling the wall and I was not going to miss one of my all time favourite musician, storyteller, and artist.

It was a fucking killer show
Boch Center Wang Theatre in Boston, US on Wed, 27 Apr 2016
I saw Van Morrison both nights at the Wang Theatre. I had never seen him perform live before. I thought him and the band were amazing. He had some talented musicians on stage with him, including his daughter Shana Morrison. I did hear commentary after the show was over that people didn't know the music and were disappointed they didn't hear the song(s) they wanted to hear. I knew at least 70% of the songs. The concert was exactly what i expected from Van the Man, though i hadn't realized he played saxophone. Amazing!!!

Amazing concert it was!!
3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Fri, 20 Nov 2015
I was happy as finally saw Van Morrison in live..but also very disappointed as there were no encore..he played professionally 1 and half hour (or even little bit less as he retreated earlier from the stage and left his band there alone). I would expect Irish singer to play longer in front of local crowd, especially since his last concert in Dublin was one year ago and it was sold-out..and even more as this is 70 birthday gig. You cant leave the stage without encore. This is somehow rule of good manners and how to appreciate your fans who paid for tickets
Concert was great....but way too short. He began at 8 and the lights came on at 9.40pm....we were all in shock....no warning, no encore, no nothing.....he is an amazing artist and his musicians and sound were great...but we were all left hanging really and more than a little let down.
Actually concert started at 8:15 and ended at 9:45..so it was exactly one and half hour..and he left without warning.
I like his voice and I enjoyed the concert while he was on the stage (and yes, I will try to see him again somewhere)
but I am really disappointed after this concert as normally you would expect this to be show in front of home crowd.
But he just left, lights went on and people in Arena were surprised.
Actually when Van Man last time left the stage, one of stage workers came and was talking something on ear to guy who play synthesizer.
At that moment I sensed this might be the end of show..it looks to me that decision to stop the concert was somehow made on the fly (at that moment)
