I was happy as finally saw Van Morrison in live..but also very disappointed as there were no encore..he played professionally 1 and half hour (or even little bit less as he retreated earlier from the stage and left his band there alone). I would expect Irish singer to play longer in front of local crowd, especially since his last concert in Dublin was one year ago and it was sold-out..and even more as this is 70 birthday gig. You cant leave the stage without encore. This is somehow rule of good manners and how to appreciate your fans who paid for tickets
Concert was great....but way too short. He began at 8 and the lights came on at 9.40pm....we were all in shock....no warning, no encore, no nothing.....he is an amazing artist and his musicians and sound were great...but we were all left hanging really and more than a little let down.
Actually concert started at 8:15 and ended at 9:45..so it was exactly one and half hour..and he left without warning.
I like his voice and I enjoyed the concert while he was on the stage (and yes, I will try to see him again somewhere)
but I am really disappointed after this concert as normally you would expect this to be show in front of home crowd.
But he just left, lights went on and people in Arena were surprised.
Actually when Van Man last time left the stage, one of stage workers came and was talking something on ear to guy who play synthesizer.
At that moment I sensed this might be the end of show..it looks to me that decision to stop the concert was somehow made on the fly (at that moment)
