The Psychedelic Furs concert reviews and tour history

I was there with my partner Tricia, and also with us was a life long friend Shane. I have seen The Furs many times including when they headlined one night at Glastonbury in 1986. Shane has seen the Furs perform many more times than me. Over the years their live performances have improved significantly and now they are faultless, as where they this night. I was down the front on my red mobility scooter . All of the individual performances were practically faultless and it was an excellent night with the Butler Brothers commanding the stage
as usual .
There isn't much more to say , apart from it passed far too quickly. It was very memorable and was close to my all time favourite night watching the Furs perform, which was at a lovely little venue in Frome on a very cold night in 2010 also with Shane. That night they played their album "Talk Talk Talk" in its original playing order, then had a break before taking to the stage again to perform many of their other great songs. That's enough from me, John, my better half Tricia, and of course Shane.

This was my first Psychedelic Furs show, so I have no comparisons to draw from, but I'd say the past few decades have been kind to these guys. The performance was spot on in a lot of ways and their musicianship and care for their art apparent. judging from the crowd's enthusiasm, I'm not the only one who thinks so. As always, the Grand Opera House is a great place to see a show. Whether it is the band's or the house techs, or the acoustics, the sound has always been great there. The same goes for the opening band, Black English. A very full sound, especially when you consider they are a three piece. Wished they had a longer set.

Awesome show, got to hear my favorites and shake Richard's hand! Could not have been a better show!

Amazing Show- Great venue but would have preferred to see them at the Commodore Ballroom for more accesss to dance
They sang all the great stuff and only had to review lyrics twice. (Its ok, he hadnt sang some of the songs in 20 years) Wish they toured more often
