While @ Bumbershoot 2000 we decided to down some whisky and push our way to the front@ my first Joan Jett/Blackheads show. Me being an old school classic rock guy I assumed she was a joke and was maybe gonna heckle her a bit...Dude, she blew us away that day and I have been a lifelong fan since!
One hard rocking show to say the least!!

It was a beautiful magical show. I had been a fan of his ever since his his song “Good time Charlie” came out and I had bought and played and played the album. In 1983, his type of music was not that popular and it was more of a past star coming back to life. He probably never stopped playing. bit for a good portion of the audience were younger people that had never heard of him. He won over everybody with his beautiful voice, folky type of music, and guitar playing. Great reception of him and lots of applause from what I remember. Wish I could remember who else we saw that day, but I think it was Ray Charles ?

I was a 21 year old Aussie at this show. Tina and dancers and band were at the top of their game simply the best

I remember this festival at the Seattle Center. Various stages were set up outdoors with rotating acts. As I was strolling through the grounds, from a distance I began to hear some killer music. I also saw a small crowd gathering around. As I walked up, there he was in all his jheri curled glory. I hadn't heard of Buddy Guy until that point. I've not forgotten him since. A blues master like no other. What a force of nature.
