A guest at The Grey Eagle, Asheville on Fri, 11 Jul 2014
Iris's poetry is really wonderful. This was my first time to hear her in person, and by gum, I got there early and sat in The Front Row! I only wish the sound system at Grey Eagle had been clearer. Even though I was in the front, the sound was fuzzy, and I heard others bemoan that as well. Still, she's a treasure, and a thinker, and a big-hearted musician!

A guest 80% at Golden State Theatre, Monterey on Fri, 25 Apr 2025
Overall B+, with Iris herself A+.
Ana Egge, opening act, was nice but a little thin in hearing the vocals. Bass player seemed a little out of touch with the songs along with the D&G bass strings thin sounding. A 3/4 double bass size would have rounded out the bottom better. Her backup vocals could barely be heard. Ana did a nice job on harmonies.
Iris is a national treasure. What a wonderful voice and overall musician.
