I remember it well. The stage was filled with fans singing along with the band. The band was using two mic's and the fans were using two. On the floor, many of us were being passed around body surfing on top of the crowds. It was amazing.

I honestly don’t remember much but I recall the crowd pushing forward against the security and one of the Clash saying “C’mon, they can’t hold you all back”. The crowd overran the security and as the 3 frontline Clash mates played on the edge of the stage, the rest of the stage filled with 50+ dancing fans. It was controlled chaos.

The first coliseum concert is seen at 15 years old. A disappointed Maiden based fa base to say the least booing GnR mercilessly. It was awesome watching Axel lose his shit and Slash earned some respect by his guitar playing and fuck it all demeanour but also because of him egging on the crowd to lay waste to Axel. One time fingering behind his back which drew a cheer.
The chants of MAIDEN MAIDEN MAIDEN rang out throughout their set and when Iron Maiden took the stage and they started with Moonchild and the stage show and light show and explosion once Bruce screamed I AM HE ….
Still the most impactive concert moment of my life.
50 years old now and I’ve seen Maiden a half dozen times since then but as they say…. You never forget your first.
Hated GnR since then but Slash has always got a pass because of that night.
