353 concerts logged here and not one answer yet. Five taps - the place itself, then the sound, the sightlines, getting in and out and what the bar charges - and this page starts telling people what Mercury Cafe is actually like to stand in. There's room to write about it as well - one entry each, added to over the years.

This was my first ever concert! My friend Andy and I went, and Mustard Plug said they were going to play until everybody either went home or fell asleep. We were close to the last to leave, and there were already people sleeping. It was great.
