Fantastic - Dwight was in great voice and his band is wonderful. I saw him on the "This Time" tour and time has done nothing but make him better. He was playful with the crowd and made sure we knew that he knew how close he was to the old home place. Best night out since I don't know when and I sure hope he comes back soon and plays for much longer. WV loves ya' Dwight!

This was one of the best concerts I have attended. Dwight sounds just as great live as he does on a recording. He went into one song after the next. I would have liked to heard some other songs and a longer show, but I am biased and wanted to see him for the whole show. HA HA. The VIP package was a bit of a let down, but it didn't seem like that was in Mr. Yoakam's control. I really have waited since I was 14 to meet him and I am 41 now. All in all, it was a wonderful opportunity. Hopefully, I'll get another chance to see him. My dream concert was to see him at the Ryman.

It was hammer down start to finish. He engaged the crowd and even the ones that weren't Dwight fans per se responded well to him. I've been a fan over 20 years, and I hope we get him back to West Virginia again, because it was an awesome experience!

  • A guest 100% on Jimi Hendrix · Sat, 10 May 1969

Jimi was incomparable, with that huge wall of Marshall amps. I think my hearing was changed that night. The real surprise, however, was the "warm up" band, CTA. They had just released their first album a few weeks before, so they weren't very well known. As you can imagine, they were tremendous!
