Misplaced on the way too large Marquee stage, and to make matters worse too early in the time schedule. In additon, Barbara did not really cut it for me. The sum of it all: a rather tedious gig.

This was the closing gig of the Club stage at the great Pukkelpop Festival. The Club tent was jam-packed, We Are Scientists perfectly sensed this was one of those rare occasions where a large and outrageous crowd were ready to be blown away. WAS delivered, went the extra mile and stole the hearts of each and everyone that night. Good memories of this very special one!

In spite of the poor turnout, loved the show tremendously, I had a blast (because WAS had one too!). A joyful return to form from the New Yorkers. I did not quite like the Barbara episode gig-wise, but having seen them now, I realised again why I've loved this band from day one.

It was nice both seeing the bands set up their own equipment and getting to talk to them while they sold their merchandise. All three bands put on an amazing show with songs chosen generously from different albums. 10/10 Hope to see them again.
