Awesome show! First concert!
Saw them for their first concert when they were dubbed Huey Lewis and the American Express. This one kicked ass! Still pine for their song "Now Here's you". The energy they gave in the early day and especially at this concert was incredible. They always hung around to talk to whoever would listen. They didn't have enough songs for a full two hours, so they always played some songs twice. Small venue…I was there with five of my friends and 120 other people.
Full disclosure, we're a HLN tribute band in So Cal so we love all of their music. Enjoyed the show & venue. Outdoor open air style and a great sound system. Huey & the band sounded great and the set list was an excellent mix of classic hits as well as some new songs. Yes, Huey Lewis & the News have new material that will be coming out soon and the preview of the couple of songs sounds like vintage Huey. Rock with that unmistakable HLN blues feel. Huey was very fun & chatty with the crowd and had an excellent rapport going. Really enjoyed the show. Meeting the band at the after show was a bonus that we'll treasure always.
.been waiting 30+ years to see HL&N and was not disappointed!! We even met Huey and Bill after the concert. Really nice guys, very approachable. We were able to get photos and autographs. A really great experience.
Really wish they played Stuck With You, but they played a lot of my favs especially Heart and Soul, which is part of a string of songs when me and my cousins were kids. My uncle made home movies and we can watch all the fun we had way back when! It was a great show! Thanks for coming back this way, hope you come again! :)
Awesome as always
AWESOME!
Huey Lewis & the News was good. More attention to his past hits I think would have been a better choice.
I have seen him three times in 30 years. He hasn't really lost a step. This was a terrific show.
Great show! The new song "While we're young" should be a single on itunes.
Huey Lewis & the News was awesome.Love all their music even the new stuff!!
another awesome concert Huey! the band is still as great as ever, missing Chris but you all are still rocking it like no other
It was a great concert. It was my first Huey Lewis concert and yes when he asked for first timers to raise their hands, I did so! Hearing most of his hits was cool. I wanted to hear Back in time but I know they can't do everything.
I really enjoyed the concert. I loved hearing the hits, as well as the new song. I enjoyed watching the guest performer sing with Huey. I could have done without them singing a song that was not theirs and focus on their own music. I did like to hear him talk throughout the concert and involve the audience when he did. Good times!
Concert was good and we enjoyed, but not at the same level as for instance Chris Isaak, or The Beach Boys, or Steve Miller Band at the Chicago Theatre. Those concerts were high energy from beginning to end for a full two hours. Huey had too many ebbs and too much talking during the concert. Also, not enough of the band's great hits. Loved the guest artist! Don't like the venue.
