I love Arlo and have attended previous concerts including at the State. The first half was frustrating. It was way too loud and too glitzy. The back up singers/musicians overpowered Arlo and people came to hear him. I was in the balcony and the woman behind me said she had a headache. Others talked about how different it was from previous appearances and it wasn't the Arlo that they expected. The second half was fabulous. Also loved his daughter Sarah Lee.

Five taps - the place itself, then the sound, the sightlines, getting in and out and what the bar charges - and this page starts telling people what State Theatre of Ithaca is actually like to stand in. Loved it! But - given the age of the audience (myself included) - you could have scheduled it at 6 (Early Bird Special at 5, concert at 6). Kidding.
