    Saturday 14th December 2024.
My 6th time at the China Crisis Glasgow Christmas Concert and what a great gig. Such melodic songs, funny repartee and connection with their audience makes for the most fun concert. Gary and Eddie never fail to entertain, but really it’s the music that stands out. This band is tight and does justice to the songs and look like they’re having a good time. We started as two pals going to the gig and it’s grown to include every friend who joined and now our sons for a new generation of fans. Yeah, everyone wants to come back and China Crisis are playing two gigs this year, so it grows. And they are better than OMD.
    Keith from Killie.

This intimate venue was the perfect setting for a showcase of musical genius. Steve Rothery (Marillion founder member and lead guitarist) has put together a collective of fine musicians for his first solo outing, the mesmerising Ghosts of Pripyat. The first half of the show was the album in full with Dave Foster on second guitar duelling solos with the maestro. Rarely can Glasgow have experienced two guitarists of this quality gracing a stage together.
The second half of the show featured Glasgow's own Martin Jacubski of Fish era Marillion tribute band Stillmarillion on lead vocals. Martin did Glasgow and Marillion proud with old favourites like Fugazi and Incubus dusted down and lifted to the rafters with the Glasgow audience singing along with the delight of seeing these songs played live once more.
If you get the chance to get along to the remaining gigs of the UK tour you won't be disappointed.
