Black Eyed Peas on Sat, 08 Jul 2000
Black Eyed Peas fan memorieGreat music and acrobatics. Amazing and favorite concert.
Stevie Ray Vaughan on Fri, 07 Sep 1984
Stevie Ray Vaughan fan memorieI was there I worked my way up to the front to see the band it’s open standing. I was blown away. A night I will never forget!!! I remember a guy was high or drunk punching people in the face in the crowd. It was upsetting to see woman getting hit . The Chicago police grabbed him and shamed his face in a pole and out the door he went. I’m glad I saw SRV. He was outstanding
Stevie Ray Vaughan fan memorieI was there. Albert Collins was like a brooding black cat with his guitar slung. SRV was awesome doing his Hendrix stuff that night. The beer concession served beer in large tub sized containers. Clouds of smoke. SRV and Albert Collins jamming together. Big fat guy stage dived and flattened a small crowd. A riot!
Pretenders on Sat, 14 Apr 1984
Pretenders fan memorieI was there on a road trip to Chicago while I was at UW Madison. Best concert I’ve ever been at, and I’ve seen Paul McCartney, the Stones, Sting, Peter Gabriel, The Who, etc...
Lou Reed on Fri, 16 May 1975
Lou Reed fan reviewok, boomer
was middle of spring quarter of junior year at N.U.
a friend & i decided that Friday afternoon
(evening?) to go see Lou. don't remember which friend,,,& it might have been two friends...no issues getting there from Evanston. bought tickets
(balcony) at the box office. don't remember co$t. ballroom wasn't 100% full - - maybe 80 - 85%
fantastic show! seems like there was opening act but can't remember which. there was a lot of MDA in Evanston that spring so strong chance we had dosed pre-show
White light/white heat;;; i don't remember the order of songs but Satellite of Love,,,Perfect Day;;;I'm waiting for the Man;;;Walk on the Wild Side all incluided. and a looooooooong version of Sweet Jane. what sticks out distinctly was Lou Reed collapsing on stage mid-song,,mid-show. coupla three roadies came out & carried Lou off stage two songs later,,,(might have been 1.5) he came back onstage energetic as all get out. figured at the time that they shot him up with _ _ _ _ _ or perhaps a cocktail of - - - - - and _ _ _ _ _ __
anyway a footnote. Lou was great,,,may he R.I.P.,,,,,show was great. in past 44 years it has occurred to me whole collapsing thing was a "publicity stunt."
thanks, safe journeys

Lou Reed fan reviewI was stationed at Great Lakes in “75” and was able to attend this CLASSIC show. Rush opened the show prior to Neal Pert. Lou Reed hit the stage and the left side erupted into an all out brawl. Then I witnessed Lou Reed SLAM on stage. What an absolutely CLASSIC rock show it was. I’m 69 now and still remember this show like it was yesterday!!! Long live R&R !!!
The Beach Boys on Wed, 26 Nov 1969
The Beach Boys fan memorieConcert was not advertised very well. Not a lot of people there.
Got to sit on stage with them and pick songs.
