Due to my wife's twisted ankle, we asked permission to be away from the standing room only floor area and Irving Plaza granted us access to the balcony. I remember being entranced by the first few songs, as the sound board engineers tuned the room into fully immersive sound. I was actually most surprised and delighted by Sophie Barker's voice, what a talent. As we stood to applaud her, we overheard British accents nearby to us - there was a small party of her friends and family, who had come over to see this performance. She was just so alluring with her presence and voice that night, and we told them that. We will never forget.
