This was the most beautiful concert I have ever been to. When Marianna Sadovska appeared on the stage I could not hold tears any more. Calling on Kronos Quartet, we were the first audience to hear their newest composition prepared in collaboration with Bryce Dessner. I cannot believe I got so lucky and honoured to participate in this extraordinary premier. The audience overwhelmed the Quartet with such applause they came back on the stage not once... but twice! Firstly: with beautiful American blues from 1920's ( "Last kind words", originally by Geeshie Wiley). Secondly: with stunning soundtrack from movie "the Fountain" ("Death Is the Road to Awe"). This was once in a lifetime experience. Thank you so much Barbican centre for organizing this event. Thank you Kronos Quartet and all the collaborators for this wonderful evening all the best on your 40'th anniversary!
