The Eagles were absolutely superb last night (Monday)and gave a fantastic, almost 3 hour, show for their high ticket prices.
What tainted it for me was the absurdly strict and mean no photos to be taken enforcement rammed down our throats....bag searches, public announcements, video screen announcements....hell my wife was even told to put away her mobile when she went to turn it off.
Whats that all about Eagles? This is your policy..nothing to do with the Hydro who had to police it. I understand you even had the hall temperature contracted in.
In this day when live pics and footage abound on the www to begrudge your loyal fans some souvenir photos when it is unlikely that we will ever see you back in Glasgow is very very poor... and then ask us to buy a programme at £15 or t shirt for £30.....dont think so!
I would just like someone representing the Eagles to tell us why you object so strongly.......I went to Belfast to see EC and the first thing superb support Andy Fairweather said to us was..."Take all the pictures you want"
That to me is the way it should be .....ie a give back to those of us who have put you where you are. But, never mind..someone somewhere will have caught you and I look forward to seeing them on the Tube before you have them taken down.
ps. Note to the Hydro......Tim Schmidts bass was indefinable....just a rumble. That must be a problem with the venue and not the Eagles professional sound engineers.
Absolutely fantastic...they were spot on. Good mix of songs & great audience participation.
First set covered early 70's songs highlights were opening song" Peaceful Easy Feeling " and Joe Walsh "Life's been good" superb. Second set a bit disjointed highlight for me " Desperadoes". All in all a good night
