Well, that was the surprise of the festival!
Actually, what am I talking about? That was the biggest concert surprise I've had in the last couple of years.
I have to admit, I had never even heard of The Flaming Lips until I decided to go to INmusic Festival and started checking out the lineup. A friend got recommendation that we absolutely had to see them. Now I know why.
I've seen more than 300 concerts, from tiny venues with minimal stages to huge arenas, so I didn't expect any artist to surprise me this much.
There was so much happening on stage, and it was just pure fun. I had a smile on my face for almost the entire concert. Well... after the first 15 minutes, anyway, because I spent the opening songs trying to figure out what on earth was happening. 😄
As a huge Black Sabbath fan, I have to mention *that* song. I turned to my friend and said, "That's one of the best Black Sabbath covers I've ever heard." His reply (he's a metalhead) was simply, "That wasn't a cover."
That pretty much says it all.
So yeah, The Flaming Lips have a new fan. I can't wait to see them again!
My second favorite concert of the festival.

Not a fan with this setlist, but still, awesome concert. Really great show.

My biggest bucket list artist to see: checked.
I want to see him again. Today!
What can I say about Jack White? I've been a fan since The White Stripes, and after this concert I’m probably an even bigger fan of his solo career.
The show was around 1 hour and 20 minutes long, which honestly isn't that much, but it completely blew me away anyway. I don't remember there being even 10 seconds of silence during the whole performance. The music never stopped, they played from the first second to the last.
Hearing that raw, muddy blues and garage rock live was a dream come true for me.
A minimalistic stage, two colors of lights (white and blue), and four musicians - that's all you need.
Jack White was the main reason I wanted to visit INmusic Festival, and yeah... this is what concerts are all about.
Pure rock magic.

Can't miss with Sting.
My personal best moment: "If I Ever Lose My Faith in You".Simon Kojc was there for Gojira · Sat, 30 Jul 2022
After more than five years of wait and postponing another six months, I finally managed to see them and oh boy, what a show that was! Easily one of the top 10, even top 5 of my best concerts ever.
The energy from both the band and fans was through the roof, not decreasing even for a bit between 1h and a half of the show.
In my opinion, they are still underrated; they are making amazing music; they know how to make a great show making people leave it happy and going home all sweaty with a smile on their faces.
Already looking forward for the next show.

This concert became a classic victim of the festival schedule.
She was on my list of artists to see, but unfortunately her set was scheduled between The Flaming Lips and Gorillaz. So I listened from a distance while taking my "festival break" for food, drinks, and a bathroom visit.
But even from what I heard, probably around 60% of the set, it sounded fantastic. I still regret not staying until the end and heading over to Gorillaz afterward instead.
