Beautiful night under the stars. Music was awesome. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
Dobson Ice Arena in Vail, US on Sun, 29 Jan 1989
I was there. I was so excited to get there early and I was amazed at how many old ladies were there in line in front of me. I was there with my gal at the time Carrie and we had a joint that we wanted to smoke, but we didn’t have a lighter or matches. She went into the ladies room to see if she could find some matches and everybody was like there’s no smoking in here. Eventually we found the light and smoked a Doobie for the Rocky Mountain high. There was a big screen behind him and some dude from I think Russia with some video in the background always love John Denver. What a cool venue to see somebody famous was such a small amount of people
Olympia Stadium in Detroit, US on Fri, 30 Apr 1976
Great concert performed in the round. A group of us bought out a box in the corner of the stadium. The only drawback was that every time John had his back to us, we were blinded by the camera flashes from those directly across the stadium.
Bournemouth International Centre in Bournemouth, UK on Wed, 23 Oct 1991
I was blessed to have been at this concert, the first time I believe John Denver had ever played in Bournemouth. I class it as the best two hours of my life just listening to two hours of incredible music with his amazing band, two of whom had played with Elvis Pressley. I was blessed to have seen him four more times before his untimely death in October 1997. Such great memories.
Blackpool Opera House in Blackpool, UK on Fri, 04 May 1990
I was lucky enough to be at this concert! We were on holiday from Scotland - my parents, myself and my son who was 4 months old at the time. I saw the poster outside the Opera House and was desperate to go..I asked at the box office and was told it was a sell out - but there was a single ticket left if I didn't mind going alone ( which was the plan anyway) On the night itself, the backing group has trouble with flights so they weren't there. But John was with just one other musician so they played the concert anyway as an acoustic set and it was better than I had ever imagined. He was charming, funny , self deprecating and a very genuine man as well as a fantastic songwriter, singer & musician. It is still one of my most favourite concerts and one of my most loved memories.

Ulster Hall in Belfast, UK on Wed, 30 Mar 1994
The concert was magical, his voice phenomenal. I was a bout 6 rows from the front and I remember he smiled from the start to the end of the concert. When he sang Rocky Mountain High it gave me shivers down my spíne. Fantastic memories of a brilliant concert.
Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, Australia on Wed, 23 Nov 1977
I was expecting #3 in 1977. We now have 5 kids, 16 grandkids...they ALL love John Denver. The concert was amazing, John was amazing. Miss him so much.
Rockhampton Music Bowl in Rockhampton, Australia on Wed, 23 Nov 1994
I took my young children and husband to this concert, meeting up with my sister and her family. John was in fine voice and, as usual, put on a perfect concert. Pin dropping silence while he sang, thunderous applause when he finished the song. If I close my eyes, I can still see and here that magnificent voice. A master-class of guitar skills and voice.
Sheffield City Hall in Sheffield, UK on Thu, 17 Mar 1994
Seeing John Denver in Sheffield 1994 was one of the best nights I have ever had. Just sat listening to him tonight and reminiscing of that perfect night. He was absolutely fantastic. I can’t believe only three years later he died. God rest his soul ❤️
