Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham, UK on Wed, 22 May 1991
No gig before or since in my experience has come even close to this one. Featured the late Mindy Jostyn and a band of master musicians. Set began with an unaccompanied version of Steppin' Out - his most commercially successful song - and the whole concert was a dazzling display of songwriting, virtuoso musicianship and interaction with the audience.
Thalia Hall in Chicago, US on Tue, 03 Nov 2015
I drove in from Des Moines for this show, and it was worth it. Joe was in great voice again, had fantastic energy, and the band was awesome. As in Seattle, the venue was an intimate historic theater, which added to the experience. I am a huge fan and highly recommend the show!
