Sheffield City Hall in Sheffield, UK on Tue, 08 Oct 1974
From my father- the concert included, the band using a pneumatic drill and a block of concrete. The concert was stopped and the base player Jean- Herve Peron carried on and he said ' This always happens'.
Then the band played on after a bit.
Birmingham Town Hall in Birmingham, UK on Wed, 13 Jun 1973
Having bought the first Faust album, I convinced two of my friends to come to this concert with me. So, as was the norm in those days, we caught the bus to Birmingham, as no one in our circle owned a car in those days. As to the concert I can't remember too much as it was nearly 50 years ago. I do however remember that there was a jack hammer (road drill) on stage which was used to drill what I presume was a paving slab or similar, but couldn't really see what it was from where we were sat. I'm fairly sure that the concert was also very loud. I enjoyed it but my two friends were not impressed at all. At the time, I was into early Tangerine Dream, Amon Düül II etc, whilst my friends were more into mainstream rock music, so I don't think they really understood the concept of the music or the concert.
