Cafe Au Go Go in New York, US on Sat, 30 Sep 1967
I saw Cream at Cafe Au Go Go in the summer of 1967. First saw them out in the street; they looked terribly stoned. We had to wait around an hour for them to come on stage, around midnight or so. It seemed like just one long run on set. Clapton was sitting on a stool, never appeared to open his eyes. Incredible performance though. Fake psychedelic drink menu. There was no other group.
Miami Stadium in Miami, US on Sat, 26 Oct 1968
Promoters of that concert should have been hanged from the stadium lights for using a night club sound system for a Cream concert. The most amazing players in the world having to do without sound for vocals while fuses blew. The same thing happened to Terry Reid as he opened for Cream. A crime. As for the Cream, outstanding of course. I was sitting up front so I could actually hear Jack Bruce's vocals, he was so powerful.
Akron Civic Theatre in Akron, US on Sat, 11 May 1968
Cream and James Gang for $5.00! No wonder I can still recall this concert. Blessed to live in Ohio during the greatest period of rock n roll.
Ulster Hall in Belfast, UK on Wed, 01 Mar 1967
