I came from Montreal just to see the show but left feeling like the venue was too big for the kind of show they gave.
Ben was barely blurring the lyrics out; Couldn't even hear India; the sound was not great at Radio City. I have definitely seen better graphics and light-enhanced shows at way smaller theatres. Most importantly, I can understand why, but I definitely didn't like that Ben would take "The fear" and turn it into a dark-noisy song. I love the fact that "I forget where we were" is a completely different sound than "Every Kingdom" and I think they achieved that brilliantly (Thanks also to Chris, or well both B Brothers), but why does he feel he should go back on his tracks and try to turn it around for the previous songs. I miss Chris but maybe Ben should just move forward with developing his sound whichever direction he is aiming for, but you won't get there by going back. "Every Kingdom" songs and all the songs in the EPs he released before were magical the way they were just as all the songs in "I forget where we were" are in their own way. His talents shine through them all but at the show I didn't see it. I feel sad because I have felt more excited about his shows watching the Youtube videos, than the one I actually got to go to.
Ultimately, I understand if he is not the warmest person, but he sure could have at least greeted the crowd. He was just too cold for someone working in entertainment and I know he can crack silly jokes or funny sarcastic comments which would have been great. He just didn't look happy to be there. He's human I know, but it's part of the job as he knows by now. All together, Radio City hall was too big for such small AND SHORT show. I just wish I could go back in time and catch him at a small open mic kind of show. I'm sure he gave more back in those days.

Really disappointed in cardiff , mumbling through most of it . Standing was a nightmare there was kids in front of me aged 6-7 getting pushed around . Ppl was to busy getting pissed an the skunk I could smell was unbelievable . They wasn't there to enjoy the music . I love ben howard but that gig was a let down . Everyone is complaining on facebook. Cardiff uni was better a couple of years ago....

I am a big fan of Ben Howard's music and had previously enjoyed seeing the final gig of his previous tour at Greenman in 2013. Last night Ben played dispassionately with little rapport with the crowd. No one sang along to anything and the whole set felt very autotuned and clean cut.

It was all about the music not crowd pleasing. Excellent band and stage show. Wondered how he would perform in the big arena and did not disappoint.

Amazing night, good light show...just couldnt hear the sound of some of the vocals which would have made it perfect...don't know what the reason for this maybe...but still a special night as Ben said...hope he had a great birthday!

Went a little to heavy on the new album so the middle of the set was a little sleepy. Totally killed the encore with some great old and new songs. Would have loved to have heard Keep Your Head Up. It's so inspirational. Also, Ben trying facing the audience a little more; it's not rehearsal.
