Plaid were fine, however I hope to never have to go back to 1015 Folsom again. The shows are way too late. The deliriously bad decision of booking a shit EDM act to open, brought in the worst kind of wasted pushy rude bro fucknuts, and plenty of them. We were packed like sardines, so much so that they had to open up the balcony just to alleviate the crowd. I was accosted by a representative from every European, and some South American nations, begging me for MDMA, which some couldn't even say, they were so stupidly fucked up. I'm really sorry Plaid had to play this place. After Plaid went on and the e-tards mostly thinned out, the venue staff decided to kick people off the balcony. Give me a break. Lame night - lame show. Sad to say but true.
agree on the pre-plaid crowd/music not really matching. while i was waiting for plaid to start, they were essentially playing 'when will the bass drop' over and over. my only "complaint" to plaid would be to play a couple songs from farther back in your catalog in addition to current tracks.
was fun, i must be getting old if i cant stand all the other music and must sit down
Great show, though it was a tad incongruous to have an EDM act (Klankarussell) paired with an act like Plaid. The dissonance was especially palpable in the patronage (the Plaid fans were standing awkwardly at the sidelines waiting for Klankarussell's set to conclude and the Friday night frat-boys attracted to music like this to dissipate from the venue). Would've been nice to see a supporting act that was more stylistically in keeping with the headliner.
