Three of us drove 160 miles from Newcastle to see a true songwriting genius and we were not disappointed! A fantastic performance fro a hugely talented performer.
Starting with a keyboard set of emotionally charged and beautifully delivered songs Butch then moved onto an acoustic set including an hilarious put down of a rude audience member talking too loudly.
Mixtape was amazing with a full crowd sing a long.
Then out came the electric guitar and the high tempo crescendo to the set.
Encore was a moving speech about his feelings towards his Dad, truly moving, I just wanted to go on stage and give him my sympathies as this is still clearly raw.
Only downside was we waited twenty minutes after the end of the set hoping to get items signed but Butch had not emerged and we had to leave on the long drive home, gutted.
All I all though a well crafted set expertly delivered by one of my heroes, thanks Butch
