Dwight Yoakam concert reviews and tour history

The concert was awful, the guitar tech and sound engineer screwed the pooch. Dwights guitar was so overdriven it drownded out his vocals and sounded like it was running through a tin can. We had to use the napkins from our drinks as ear plugs. Dwight dicked around with amp multiple times, but never had the common since to just turn it off. Totally wasted $400 for the worst sounding concert I have ever had to endure. Will not buy tickets for the next tour unless they fire the sound tech. The previous 3 concerts were great, this one was dreadful.

I have been to 4 Dwight Yoakam concerts now. The sound was awful at the Turlock Community Center! I was sitting on C110 which was about 20 feet from stage almost center. It was hard to hear Dwight's voice, couldn't even make out the words on the songs I didn't already know. The best venue I've been to was the one at Gallo Permaning Arts in Modesto in 2014. Nevertheless, Dwight and the band were great. So my rating for the basnd is Great! My rating for the venue is Dissappointing!

Loved the concert. Would like to know who the band member is that played the piano, mandolin, harmonica and accordian is.

Dwight put on an amazing show. I just wish all the obnoxious drunks would've stayed at home.

We were so looking forward to seeing Dwight and the evening was ruined. The music wad so ungodly loud that you could not even understand what he was singing. Where we were sitting several people were putting in ear plugs and that did not help. We watched several people of all ages leave. When we choose to go to the lobby one of the employees from the Cascade asked us if we would like ear plugs and explained how sorry they were for the volume. She explained that when the sound man was asked to adjust the volume he said he could not as then no one would be able to hear Dwight. We were at the Gordon Lightfoot and Clint Black concerts and sound was not an issue and made for very enjoyable evenings. I am assuming that Dwight did not know what was happening and am sorry for him and the band. I imagine it was uncomfortable for them to watch so many people leaving.

Dwight was Awesome. He put on a great show last night. He is truly an entertaining performer.His music is solely his there is no one who pulls it off like he does. Love seeing Dwight. Hope he comes again.

The sound quality was no good. I was unhappy with it and it was a waste of money and time. If he doesn't care about how it sounds he should stop singing. They said he didn't do a sound check and because of that he showed people he doesn't care about them getting what they paid for. A kindergarten play would of sounded better.

Dwight Yoakam is one of my favorites! I really enjoyed this concert and would love for him to come back to Canton!!!

I've enjoyed his music for years, but this was the first time I saw him live. I was not disappointed. Despite the sound difficulties, the band sounded great for a live performance. They were a lot of fun to watch. Next time I'll get better seats and order earlier.
