Tin Can Club data and concert informations

I remember this one more for the wait in the early hours at New Street station afterwards - difficult to get back to Shrewsbury on a Sunday morning.
The Tin Can was dark - quite a few people there but not heaving. SPK came on with their usual set - around the time that Metal Dance was released. Can't remember the support band, or even if there was one.
The Death Cult gig there was better.

I was stage manager at the Tin Can Club at will never forget this gig. A fan of the old Ultravox I was looking forward to that night and was disappointed. It was a VERY busy night, the fullest we’d ever been. The club’s capacity was set at 350 but the place was rammed, word was there were up to a thousand people there. Looking back I can only be grateful that nothing happened, if the authorities had turned up at the very least we would have been shut down permanently.
The gig itself was incredible, John was absolutely at his best. A very memorable gig.
