Coming from Paris to Nottingham, this show was absolutely splendid. Not a greatest hits night, as written above, but the choice of the songs was quite energic compared to the second leg of the european tour. Even the rendition of "People Are The Same Everywhere" was great.
"The Queen is Dead" as an opening was just magic (this song will be chosen as the last one for the second leg of the tour), as well as the great encore with "Speedway" and Matt Walker's unfinishing drums.
Great gig, heavy on world peace material but it was never going to be a greatest hits setlist. Band was tight and Morrisseys Voice gets better with age.
Yes crowd was more up for the oldies but new material was well received. Highlight for me was 'The Queen is Dead' and felt 'Meat is Murder' should have been the set finale.
