Joel Plaskett Emergency concert at Ottawa International Jazz Festival in Ottawa, Canada

This was my daughter and I's first Joel Plaskett concert. We love the song "A Million Dollars", and doubted he would play it. So the show had a huge kick off for us when he opened with it! Joel played amazing, and I had not realized what a good guitar player he is. We loved his kind of lanky dancing style while he played. Joel is very entertaining! My daughter really thought it was great when he pulled out the Polaroid style camera and took pictures. She wanted to try to get one after the show.
He also showed a lot of hometown pride when talking about Halifax. It made me think that it would be really cool to visit there and see him live. Maybe try to find Ashtray Rock.
Don't know if we'll ever make it to N.S,, but we'll definitely see Joel next time he's around Ottawa!
