We travelled up from Essex to watch the show, it was myself and my good friend at the time Nicky Greenland. We were just 17 at the time so along time ago, we are 50 this year. I remember exiting the tube station Kentish Town with people sitting at the top of the escalators and feeling nervous and exited. Once inside I remember also watching Caveman I had one of their songs on vinyl “ fry you like fish “ if I remember rightly. Massive memory as I really do think this era was Hip Hops greatest , still listen to all the tunes now. I still talk about this era now to the young hip hop fans who get in my Taxi and ask “who’s this on the radio “ having no idea of the great pioneers from 30 plus years ago. Going to watch de la soul next week at the royal Albert hall, taking my 2 boys who have been drip feed hip hop from birth they are 20 & 26 . Fingers crossed might be back for Rakim at the venue I first visited over 30 years ago !!!
