I was there. They sounded extraordinary! Just like the album, but better because it was live. The more they played, the more the crowd grew enthusiastic. Their interaction with the crowd was fantastic. The more we cheered, the better they played. It was like cheering on a friends garage band. So glad I got to see them as they were first starting their career.
A year later I saw them at the Chicago Stadium, Brad Delp’s voice had taken a toll from nonstop touring . Still good, however his voice sounded like it had been overworked. Understandable, their tour schedule was brutal.
Excellent show at the Uptown Theatre; glad I have that memory!
