Saymon about Metallica in Vienna, Austria on Fri, 16 Aug 2019

Two highlists of my first Metallica concert:
#1 seeing my GF so happy
      #2 Harvester of Sorrow
Setlist was quite good, but they seems to "lost it" in some parts of songs - strong start but just an okay finish.
      Still amazing concert!

Saymon about Muse in Graz, Austria on Wed, 29 May 2019

Hands down for that show. Setlist was almost perfect - I would only change Dig down ( but even that song was great live) for any other song from their debut album. Finish was brutal.
Probably THE best concert in last couple of years and one of my TOP 3 concert.
      See you next time Muse!

Saymon about Ghost in Vienna, Austria on Fri, 16 Aug 2019

Rated based on fact, that they were support group. So stage and sound were not on "full" mode, but still - they did I great job and I enjoyed every second of their performance.
They diserved a better response from crows.
Amazing concert and I can't wait to see them again on solo tour.

anonymous about Barbra Streisand in London, UK on Sun, 07 Jul 2019

Barbra was absolutely great when singing, unfortunately she spent too much time gushing on about England, her career, her dogs, saving the world blah, blah, blah.
I actually remember some of her script from when I saw her at the O2 in 2007.
Have to say I really don't think she's that comfortable with this type of open air venue, more difficult to control in comparison to a seated internal concert. And I fully respect her desire to control - it's her name selling the tickets and she wants to give us perfection. Barbra, you delivered perfection every time you sang but, for me, not when you chatted.
And yet......I'd put up with the chat again and be happy to pay the £700 that my ticket cost to hear again, Barbra sing 'My Man' & 'The Man That Got Away'. She's not Garland but doesn't need to be, she's herself.

anonymous about Bryan Ferry in London, UK on Sun, 07 Jul 2019

Bryan Ferry was superb on Sunday at Hyde Park: my son summed him up, 'this guy is so cool'. He is and he really has still got it, belting out great old Roxy Music numbers in addition to his later solo songs. To be honest he eclipsed Barbra: she was magnificent when singing but spent too much time gushing about England, her dogs, her career, saving the world blah, blah, blah - one felt like shouting, 'Shut up Babs and just sing'. Bryan, respecting his audience , did just that - still as great as he was when I last saw him 17 years ago.

StevenFlorida about Commander Cody in Fort Wayne, US on Wed, 08 May 1974

I'm going to be straight up honest;I don't remember many of the songs that CC played that night. They opened for Leon Russell and I don't recall them sounding bad,I just wasn't too familiar with their stuff. .I do remember that the crowd went crazy when they played "Hot Rod Lincoln." Years later I revisited their music and like it's my appreciation of them has increased over time.

anonymous about Bob Dylan in Atlanta, US on Wed, 05 Feb 1964

It was a great experience. Some friends and I drove to Atlanta from Auburn University. The songs were mainly from the Freewheeling album. I was surprised at how much feeling he could convey with his voice using guitar chords that everyone knew. After the performance, he stayed to talk with members of the audience. I believe his brother was with him and there was a striking resemblance . Dylan said that his next stop would be New Orleans. Another thing was that he had a spoon capo which he said that he made when he had no money.
I don`t think he actually used it to play though. Maybe it was a warmup routine. I would rate it a 10.

StevenFlorida about AC/DC in Fort Wayne, US on Thu, 15 Dec 1977

17 years old, went to see Styx.I had never heard of the opening band.I was right up front and ready to listen to some nice jams. Then the stage just erupted, and the band
started throwing out tunes I had never heard but I liked it.The lead guitarist was dressed like a schoolboy and the lead singer was like a wild man.Suddenly the spotlights were in my eyes,I heard the crowd roar as Bon Scott came running by me with Angus Young on his shoulders, playing his guitar and almost bowling me over as he brushed by me.

It still ranks as the most intense performance I have ever seen and I'm glad I was able to catch them when they were young, hungry, and up and coming.

When Styx took the stage they gave a decent performance but IMHO they were upstaged by the lads from Oz.

StevenFlorida about Leon Russell in Fort Wayne, US on Wed, 08 May 1974

One of the first concerts I ever attended.I was only 14 but had a brother that was 13 years older than me so I grew up listening to his records of groups like Canned Heat,Hendrix,Joe Cocker,Leon Russell,etc.. so I knew some of his music. It was an awesome concert and I remember him sitting at his piano wearing his cowboy hat in the spotlight, and playing some of his best tunes.

anonymous about Stevie Ray Vaughan in Fort Wayne, US on Wed, 25 Sep 1985

I was there and enjoyed the show, but I must admit that before the concert I knew little about SRV.My brothers girlfriend worked at a radio station and would sometimes get me free tickets to concerts. She gave me the ticket and I went and was quite impressed with SRV and company. The theatre is like a clamshell setup, and is a relatively small venue,so it was a great close up,intimate performance that I will always remember.
