This concert was amazing! I never thought I would have an opportunity to see her live. Her voice is still beautiful and she was full of energy. I don't know why people complain about her coming out an hour and half past showtime...I have been to other concerts for other artists and it was the same way. The DJ was incredible as well. Yes some of her songs had a remix to them but it was something new and still had touches of the regular versions to them. She even slowed it down for a few and played some of her unplugged music! Everyone around me was still able to sing along and dance and I was in front row looking back at the crowd who was doing the same!! She was worth the wait and then some. I even got lucky and was able to meet her :) She took the time to take pictures for those of us who was still there and signed autographs. She is so genuine and kind hearted. Legendary and revolutionary... We need more artists like this today. It was a night I will never forget!
She came on an hour and a half AFTER the opening act ENDED. Concert starts at 7:30 and she didn't begin until 9:30. Seriously! What is it that she is doing that she has to be so disrespectful to the fans that have paid tickets even though we all know she's only performing to pay her taxes that the rest of us pay. But, we're that big of fans that we went anyway, and with so much excitement and energy! I'm so disappointed in her! It was a week night. People work, have babysitters, have traveled to see her. It was disrespectful. I MIGHT have been able to put that into a distant memory, but then she changed the composition of all her songs. Unbelievable. No one would pay $65 to hear a concert in the sweltering humidity of the day to hear all new songs. Not one person within my sight was singing because we couldn't. They were new songs to us. The lady sitting by us that warned us she'd be singing all her songs and apologized early in case it was obnoxious left early!!! As the concert progressed, people just sat down all around us and just watched as if it was a movie. People even stopped dancing and moving to the music. I've never been to a tamer concert. The crowd was more excited, on their feet, upbeat, and hopeful while the DJ was spinning. I would never pay to go to another one of her concerts. I'm just disappointed that she showed so much lack of respect and concern or care for her fans. For her to ignore the music that her fans came to hear is the most selfish thing an artist can do. I've never seen so many people get up and leave during a concert. She has an amazing voice and talent,no doubt. Unfortunately, she didn't play one recognizable or singable song of HERS! Such a shame. Clearly, she didn't rate well in Portland either.
