Every time I have seen Portal, they have been supporting and overseas act, and the headline act has paled in comparison to the local boys. Gorguts have proven to be the exception to the rule. The Tech-Death Masters showed why they have survived for over a quarter of a century in such a fickle world of fly-by-night bands and even more fickle fans. Playing songs across the full spectrum of their career, Gorguts played with a skill, proficiency and passion that all who witnessed the gig will remember for years to come.
