The Pogues fan
It was indeed at Hawthorns and was a truly awesome gig. The next time I saw them was on the rather more cavernous expanses of the MEN Arena in Manchester as my all time favourite Irish band the Saw Doctors were supporting them. Happy days

It wasn't at the student union it was at Hawthorns Hall of residence. I should know as I booked them!
