The bands were all good and the weather for the evening was exceptional with temperatures still at 22 degrees at 10.30pm which made the evening one to remember and DEFINITELY softens the memory of last Friday night. BUT I was so disappointed not to be able to bring in a deck chair to sit on (I suffer from arthritis and was uncomfortable sitting on a blanket on the grass). Also at events like that you need to be able to bring a picnic and just relax/dance where you are. The queues for food (I paid 7.50 for mediocre fish and chips which were supposed to come with lemon and tartare sauce (joke!) and queues for drinks were terrible. I was with friends from New Zealand who were visiting and they were astounded at how badly run it was. Really put a dampner on the whole evening. Why did you allow picnics/drinks/chairs at the Proms the night after but not for this event? I will not be going to such an event again at WC unless you can bring picnics/drinks and chairs in. Its not fair and takes away the enjoyment of it all. Lots of people we spoke to felt the same so whose ever idea it was, needs to get their act together as will be looking for other places to spend my money at next year.
The Kaiser Chiefs were exceptional, all the old favourites performed with lots of energy. Really great night.
However I will not be going to a concert at Warwick castle unless they improve the service . 30 minute queue for warm overpriced cans of beer. We were also told no chairs or food to be allowed in but we saw people with both. Get your act togeather Warwick Castle.
