Rainbow Music Hall in Denver, US on Wed, 18 Jun 1986
The Rainbow was a GREAT small venue in Denver at the time and this was one of the best shows we saw there, Not a bad spot in the house, and Siouxsie, Steve, and Budgie about brought the house down while visiting on their Tinderbox tour. It was hilarious at the time how gothed out the audience was (including us!) but a great, very memorable show. Also saw Oingo Boingo there another time. While there were a lot of great shows at Red Rocks (The Cure, Eurythmics) and Fiddler’s Green (Lolapalooza) around that era, the intimacy of the Rainbow put it on a different level.

Fantastic gig! I was only 15 years old at the time!
Absolutely superb. I saw the band three times but this was the best. Siouxsie was magnificent and so beautiful. I was right by the stage and speakers. I'm sure but hearing was damaged that night but it was worth it. The early Human League were great too much better than the commercialized band they became.
I was at that gig too! I was still only a 15 year old little Punk at the time. I was right near the front too! I’m 60 now!
Do you remember that the Human League had perspex screens in front of their synths to protect themselves from beer glasses be chucked at them?
I was also at The Clash gig the night before at Tiffany’s !
Rainbow Theatre in London, UK on Sat, 07 Apr 1979
Another wonderful show following on from the Hammersmith Odeon and Purley the previous year. One memory is of getting to the venue before anyone else and, having to kill time before the show, we ran into the Human League in the Seven Sisters Road. We got the autographs of Phil Oakey (with great hair) and Martin Ware. I think they were surprised that we knew them and were really great to us!

This was the old Hammersmith Odeon. A fantastic gig which fortunately can still be heard on You Tube including a request from the management for the fighting to stop otherwise the bouncers would throw out those responsible. I was sixteen and a half and in heaven. I saw them at Purley the next month and the Rainbow the following April. Magnificent!
