Théâtre Corona in Montreal, Canada on Thu, 28 May 2015
Joel was incredible, the bands put on an excellent show. The setup of the venue was, on the other hand, atrocious. The tables on the ground level prevented audience members from standing up and dancing, a hallmark of a Joel plaskett show, and really any rock and roll show. It was horrible up on the mezzanine, with people who were dedicated fans sitting neck to neck with loud and inconsiderate patrons who would, under normal circumstances, have been standing at the back. Kudos to Joel for commanding the theatre in the way he did but space wise I found the corona to have offered my friends and I, loyal fans that bought out tickets months ago in anticipation, a really disappointing experience. Please do not put cocktail tables on the floor at the next show.

What a great concert! Mo Kenney as the opening act fit in perfectly as they have a similar sound and she returned for much of Joel's set. Joel Plaskett was excellent. He engages with his audience and fans really well. He played his lesser known numbers (by me anyway) in between his hits. 'Nowhere with You', 'Park Avenue Sobriety Test' and 'Through, Through and Through' were definite faves and got people singing and dancing. He missed 'Fashionable People' which I was really looking forward to but I guess there is only so much time. Thanks for a great evening!
