Cowboy Mouth was, as always, an amazing performance - Fred can coax more energy out of a small venue than many entertainers can summon out of a stadium audience. The opening band was OK, but I would have preferred to have the time to see CM instead.

That being said; The Gas Monkey Grill venue needs work - a lot of work. I purchased "VIP" tickets for myself and my daughter, and yet couldn't find any seating that would give us a view of the band (there's a very limited viewing range along the front rail upstairs - no more than 20 people, tops). The only seating at floor level were 4 picnic tables, reserved in advance. Since there was no seating to speak of, my daughter and I ended up in the General Admission area in front of the band anyway, so it was a waste of upcharge for me to buy the VIP tickets.

Recommendations: raise the stage so that the entire VIP area has the ability to see, or add more seating down on floor level - there was quite a bit of space that was unoccupied during the evening, away from the stage area.
