We want you to come back with full band ASAP and more tshirts (especially for small women ;-)) hubby got a tshirt but you'd run out for Auckland sales - we were completely blown away by the experience - LOVED your choice of opening band. Loved the intimacy of the gig at Kings Arms (because I got photos with the band members while they were wondering around off stage). Please please come back with full band in 2016!!! We love you!!! Lost song part 2 is my fav and you started off with it ❤️ one of the most romantic nights I've ever had with my husband - THANK YOU!!!

Apart from the embarrassing kiwi banter, I enjoyed the night, never stood in a double snaked queue outside the kings arms before. A very mixed crowd, you had the ominous black clothes of all the dedicated /M\etallers and then this other bunch (majority) of what I imagine to be people who appreciate ANATHEMA's newer material and not so much of their doom metal history. As for Anathema's performance, it was really intriguing to hear acoustic adaptations of some of their songs like fragile dreams even though they did mostly newer material. Untouchables was amazing , Danny was legendary working all his magic, loops and percussion and even snuck in a couple of covers. would have loved to hear older material, some of which I think could easily be done acoustically. Great Performers, invoking audience participation and entertaining a packed house... great show.

It was my first Anathema concert, so I was free of expecting anything.
I liked the first two sets very much, the third, lets call it doomier part, was interesting, but as this is not my favourite music (Doom Metal), I liked it not so much. The sound in "The Matrix" was okay, but I think they had problems with the mic of their actual singer, so I heard clipping and hissing noises due to that. They played nearly 3 hours and that must´ve been a blast for the real fans, because of the journey through time with all kinds of styles that this band ran through over the last 20 years! Fascinating!

The gig was great but not perfect. For my taste it was too long (2h). Although this was my first live show. But this is just my opinion. I went there to see Mother's Cake and they were so awesome!! bought a vinyl and some shirts from those guys.

Gig was just perfect. I was hoping to hear both Beginning And The End and Storm Before the Calm and Anathema delivered. I reckon there ain't many venues they've played both of those, but I was just lucky if info is correct on setlist.fm. I was more than happy to attend gig at Pakkahuone as that setlist for me was perfect and better than on at The Circus in Helsinki. Other highlights for me was Untouchable pt. 1 & 2, Anathema, Universal, Natural Disaster, Ariel, Lost Song pt. 1 & 2, Fragile Dreams. Whole setlist was as described in http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/anathema/2014/pakkahuone-tampere-finland-3cc7923.html

Guitars and singing was just perfect with little extra here and there. Only thing that deserves a slight negative feedback was that really strong lights were used few times and those was aimed straight to the eyes and caused some distractions because they were too bright and I needed to look elsewhere or close my eyes for a bit. Still that didn't take anything away from a perfect set which didn't leave any of my personal favourite songs out. Thank you Anathema, you're a fuc*ing ace of a band!!! People just need to go and hear you live, as you're band that people can't afford to miss out on experiencing live. Also thanks for good value merchandise which was great to see nowadays when t-shirts at gigs could easily go for 10 € more, but 20€ that you we're asking was just perfect.
